Men's Volleyball Win Three Straight Matches
The Los Angeles Pierce College Men's Volleyball is on a roll, securing their first win of the season as well as riding a three-game winning streak. Over three days, the team played three contests in which they were all victorious. On Friday, the Brahmas took part in a quad tournament at Palomar College, defeating Palomar in three sets and Grossmont in five sets. Freshman Brandon Ta, recorded 30 kills in the two combined matches, while sophomore Lars Hart added 16 kills. Pierce also got key contributions from freshman Sam Henry and Gavin Arnold who each recorded over 10 kills.
Back home on Monday night, Pierce's determination and determination shone through as the team beat Santiago Canyon in three sets. Sophomore Karl Manolong recorded 25 assists, while freshman Michael Labrenz added 13 assists. The team's confidence is growing with each game and they appear eager to continue their strong momentum. The Brahmas now have a 3-4 record on the season, and their next home match will be on Friday, Feb 28 against Long Beach College at 6:00 p.m.
