Pierce athletics kicked off the week with a soccer doubleheader at Shepard Stadium
Men's Soccer came into the game with a 2-2 conference record, while Citrus had a 3-1 conference record prior. The Brahmas fell in a early 2-0 hole after just 25 minutes. Pierce continued to attack and cut into the lead after a penalty kick by Gilberto Chavez, they continued to try to score an equalizer but we're unable to do so. The Brahmas are now fourth in Western State South conference standings. They now have two huge road games. Fri Oct 27 against Antelope Valley, and Tues Oct 31 against Bakersfield.
In the later game, it was pure domination for women's soccer. A convincing 5-1 win over Oxnard College. It took the Brahmas four minutes to score, Victoria Castro would open the scoring. May Htet Lu added two goals, while Heidi Ricketts and Eddenlly Calderon added one a piece. The Brahmas had a total of 15 shots and seven corner kicks in what was a very dominant win. Their conference record is now 4-1-3, and have a week to prepare as they visit Ventura College on Tues, Oct 31.
