It is now nine straight wins for the Los Angeles Pierce Women's Basketball Team after a 65-57 win over LA Southwest. Pierce split the double header with LA Southwest. The game was a close one throughout as the biggest lead was only eight points. But Pierce was able to break away in the fourth.
Southwest finished with four players as Kayla Buffington fouled out and the Cougars only had five players available.
Both teams struggled shooting as Pierce only shot 25% and Southwest shot 31%. However, Pierce dominated the battle on the glass Pierce out rebounded Southwest 66-45.
For the Brahmas, Kayla Fisher had a double-double recording 16 rebounds and 12 points. Bahiyjaui Allen led the Brahmas in scoring with 16 points and 15 rebounds off the bench. The win brought the Brahmas overall record to 12-2.
They will suit up next to visit Antelope Valley on Friday, December 15. Tip-off is at 5 p.m.
