Swim Gains Positive Results Ahead Of LA Valley Meet

Despite facing various challenges such as not having a home pool. The Pierce Aquatics had an exciting meet at The Western State Conference Meet #2

The women's team beat Cuesta, College of the Canyons, and Bakersfield. 

 The Western State Conference Meet #2 had all 19 teams competing at the same time. We had 10 women's teams and 9 men's teams. The following athletes qualified 1-8 in their respective events which would be the finals at Conference or 9-16 which would qualify them for the consolation finals.
 
  1. Derick Cano - 200 fly 3rd, 100 fly 6th, and 100 breaststroke 8th (He makes finals for everything).
  2. Cristian Aleman - 400 IM 11th, 200 back 14th
  3. Benny Briggs - 200 fly 8th
 
The Pierce women had an amazing meet with the following places.
 
  1. Victoria Murphy - 200 fly 3rd, 400 IM 11th, and 100 fly 11th
  2. Melina Farabolini - 100 fly 7th, 400 IM 9th and two relays
  3. Hailey Barbera - 100 Breaststroke 11th, 200 Breaststroke 11th, 500 free 15th
  4. Ally Gonzalez - 200 free13th, 100 free14th, 500 free16th 
  5. Jenna Brashear - 400 IM 10th
  6. Ina - 100 fly 12th, 200 Back 8th
  7. Heidi - 100 Breaststroke 13th, 200 Breaststroke 12th
  8. Chloe - 200 Back 5th, 100 Back 12th
  9. Elizabeth - 200 free 15th
